Awards

Apps are a diverse and colourful field. Ranging from smartphone games to health checks and financial advisory applications for tablets, apps cover every corner of our life in and outside business. In 2013 we will hand out 15 awards. The 'Best in Category' covers 9 categories - well-know from app stores across the leading platforms. All apps will be shortlisted under their specific category (e.g. Finance or Games & Entertainment). The other awards will only be handed out once.

The 'Enterprise App Award' is one of the new awards in 2013. With the explotion of enterprise apps (apps not available for download in public app stores) throughout 2012, apps for advisory, administrative, and sales purposes have set new innovative standards for business models and design for the bigger screen. Especially for tablets the enterprise app area, enterprise apps have been an innovative newcomer.

App of the year

The App of the Year award is given to the app which stands above the rest on all criteria.

Best Design

This award is given for the app with the most eye-catching and pleasing user interface design.

Best Usability

The Best Usability award is given to the app with the most intuitive user experience.

Best Functionality

The Best Functionality award is given to the app with the most innovative features.

People's Choice

The People's Choice award is given to the app with most votes from end-users before the awards event.

The Best of Category award is given to the apps that stand out within their own category. The categories are:
